You have been engaged in some far-reaching reflections on the meaning of Light; and you have drawn some consequences following from the new meaning of light. Your reach seems to be bold, maybe even reckless. Tell us something about your background and how were you led to your new ideas.

I was a standard child of Western civilization of the 20th century. As everybody else, I was proud and intoxicated with the prowess of technology of the West. I believed that technology would solve all problems. Then I sobered up watching the hippie revolution in the States. The hippies emphatically declared that technology and society have failed us. At first, I didn’t think they were serious. And then I saw that they were serious and right.

I have always been a contemplative fellow who likes to explore in depth and find his own solutions. I have had a great deal of respect for my thinking mind, which “can deliver.” My beloved preoccupation has been watching the stars in isolated silent mountains. I would gaze at them and imagine that they were my stellar sisters. I would try to converse with them. I have learnt a lot from the stars.
